Recent
Professional Background—
A US citizen,
editor,
published writer,
award-winning photographer and provider of
strategic communications, in July I will conclude a four-year
consulting contract with the largest (State-level) publishing
house in China. Pursuant that contract, I was government-credentialed
as a "Foreign Expert." In recent
years, while continuing with my
international freelance contracts, in my professional role,
consulting to a China State-level organization, I traveled extensively
in the course of press delegation tours to numerous
provinces, cities, towns and villages. Those missions
were about central-to-provincial government PR, as well as generating
press coverage for administrative regions and varying commercial
concerns.
I have also carried out many assignments more directly involved
in
official PR, including generating
diplomatic-style communications for top-tier publishing
house executives in communicating with the Thai Consulate and
a member of Thailand's Royal Family. Specifically, this was
in respect to the
Princess of Thailand and a publishing venture – a bilateral
goodwill effort.
